I propose to create a DVD product containing a small film on “the lead up to the show” including a few student interviews and spotlights on students and their work. I also intend to show some of the work in a video format as almost to take-away from the showcase. I wanted it to be less promotional and more reflective on the time spent on making the work. I think it would help the audience appreciate the context and more importantly the significance of the pieces to the artist. Placed on a DVD its away from the event and is almost a moment to the families of the artist of one of their first exhibitions.
other video work created for the event may be able to be placed on the disc. Another opportunity is that the DVD could be used as a ticket sent out with a pack of information about the show.
